Allow the use of left and right boundaries in recording rules to refine where variables are inserted.
In recording rules, we can use left and right boundaries to show where we want to pull data from to create a variable. It would be helpful if we could use the same boundary idea to specify exactly where in the script we want these variables used - as an example, I am working with an asynchronous application that sends larges packets that lack context headers; however, the packet shape is static enough to where the ability to precisely say where to insert the formID values is possible if only I could tell it to insert it between words X and Y.

Can you provide an example via Micro Focus Supportline?
When using multiple instances of Performance Explorer on different machines; have an option to start monitoring and "write data" for all of these monitors.
This is already possible using the command line but a GUI option would be helpful.3 votes
When coding it would be nice if after typing a new variable you could right click on it and declare it at the top automatically.3 votes
It would be good to have the option to automatically email the overview report at the end of a load test.3 votes
Improve TrueLog to allow correlation to start from a Recorded Log rather than having to Run Try Script first.
Currently, script correlation can only be done after a Try Script run. The recommended approach is Record->Run Try Script->Create Recording Rules. If we can start correlating and creating recording rules directly from the recorded log, this will make the task simpler for users who already know the application well enough so that they don't have to re-run the Try Script to start correlating.3 votes
At present there is only one template for overview reports, some flexibility would be good here to better customize the finished report. only basic customization is available at the moment.3 votes
Report document generation will be in Silk Performer 16.0. You will be able to define a Microsoft Word template and generate your customized report.
easily add/remove CloudBurst agents for specific scripts/workloads in the same way that you can currently with locally installed agents
The ability to easily add/remove CloudBurst agents for specific scripts/workloads in the same way that you can currently with locally installed agents.
Currently you need to do this on the 'agent assignment" tab of the Workload Configuration dialog but it would be useful if CloudBurst agents were treated just as local agents.3 votes
After the load test was terminated with Kill All, although measurements are available, but are omitted in the Overview Report.
Since the measurements are available, it would be very good to display this in the Overview Report.3 votes

Silk Performer 19.5 contains a technical preview of the new BDL editor which comes with this, and many other usability enhancements.

It would be very much helpful if 'Breakpoint' option is included to debug the script.
And also 'Run from step' (feature in UFT) can be implemented to save time by executing/debugging from the middle of test case.3 votes

Spliting up the response time from Total Time.
In one of my application after clicking the tab, grid is going to load in 3 passes i.e. first the standard columns, then the column of action buttons, then the user-defined property columns.
We want to measure response time for all 3 stages individually. Currently this is not possible using silkperformer tool.Using “fiddler” tool we can do it2 votes
Please send a fiddler sample to techsupport, so we can figure out what you mean
I've been convinced by support that adding jQuery to:
/web browser driven
/ Recording tab
so that I end up with something like:
CHECKED, DISABLED, style, width, height, size, __, class, JQuery*
is a good thing.
Could you please make this so we can make the change globally and keep it, as opposed to having to edit each individual / new project to add this value? It would save users valuable time having to go back and troubleshoot the same issues over and over.2 votes
SilkPerformer Recorder should capture using SilkWebDriver. The generated script should be added to the project. SP should allow editing the script, just like BDL. TryScript and test runs should use webdriver to replay the script. Reporting should be supported as with BDL. Should be able to capture screenshots via selenium both on error and as a callable function. Calling selenium from BDL would be a good bridge between existing scripts and selenium.2 votes

When exporting projects and sharing with colleagues who have different codepages the codepage function produces an error until the codepage is updated. So it would be good if part of the import included a check for codepage and an update of this function.2 votes
automatically updating the codepage is not a valid solution, as the script may simply not run. A warning would be more suitable

Current sesion handling is only works with response body data. In the field multiple transactions is the mostly used rather than single transaction and this creates webcookie functions with hard coded session data. We need to handle this one manually and consumes a lot of time.
ex) WebCookieSet("JSESSIONID=FCCF2F70D0BA8DC414DAAAD25507F127; domain=10.30.23.22; path=/; expires=Sun, 08 Jan 2023 11:31:23 GMT", "http://10.30.23.22:8080/kc/tu/KCTUStatAlert/selectM1.do");2 votes
Ability to define the no.of iterations my transactions inside the script should run. Currently, this is done within the script. So, say if I have to run 5 iterations of each script and there 20 scripts in my project I will have to manually open each one and update the counts and change it back when needed. This is a pain. Easier way to do it would be outside of the scipt. Please consider.2 votes
