How can we improve Silk Test?

Provide an index locator attribute similar to the Classic Agent Index tag

If testing localized versions of an application, an "index" locator attribute similar to the Classic Agent index tag would be useful as an alternative way to identify controls.

        hi,
there are several ways to do that already:
first locators do allow indices so you can see you want group.find("/Button[5]) which will return the fifth Button under the group. That is essentially what the index attribute provided in the Classic Agent. Furthermore you can also use the windowid attribute which will very likely be set if you internationalize an application as in that case you have to identify it also with an id. that will then provide a more stable approach anyway.

        kind regards,
        ulrich
