  2. Allow co-ordinate entries for the Select() method similar to Click(b,x,y)

    High level Select() is implemented to click to the center, this is as designed at the moment. For example, in a WPFListView if this happens to co-incide with a column separater the row does not get selected. This then requires a coded workround for what must be a common problem.

  3. Change behavior when renaming Visual Tests

    When you rename a Visual Test after it has been executed; the current behavior of the Workbench, is that any existing Results assets will be orphaned, and are no longer associated with the parent test. I would like this behavior modified in a future release of SilkTest; so that Results are still associated with the Visual Test, even after renaming it.

  4. Add a detach method for single applications instead of all applications

    Currently, the only way to reload Open Agent to grab any changes to locators involves Desktop.detachAll() and Desktop.attach(testApp.exe).
    This involves keeping track of any other applications that are open and re-attaching them as well. Please add a Desktop.detach(testApp.exe) method to avoid removing all applications.

  5. Transfer files from Agent

    We need the ability to transfer arbitrary binary files (e.g. downloaded files from browsers and captured bitmaps) from the agent to the JVM that's running the test code. The currently available system functions are not applicable to binary files.

    Please provide something like com.borland.silktest.jtf.SystemFunctions#fileReadBytes(handle, start, length)

  7. Silk Test Workbench: Option for hiding disabled steps in a Silk Test Workbench visual test

    When debugging a script, it is often useful to disable scripts. At times it would be helpful to be able to "hide disabled steps". This would let you focus your debugging efforts on which steps are functional. This is especially true for more complex scripts.

  8. Need support to Customize Debug Logging

    It would be better to have a support for logging messages with differnet levels. Like, 'Info', 'Debug', 'Error', 'Fatal', 'warning' etc..In such a way that, I have all types of messages in my script or functions. But, At times, i wanna suppress warnings or debug messages and want to log only certain messages like, errors or Fatal messages etc.. Then, it should work as such.

  9. Qlikview application dashboard graphs not recognized

    As per incident #2615669, we are not able to test the classes for dashboard graphs in Qlikview application. Recognize individual objects and get properties like text content to validate, would be a great improvement.

  10. Improve the warnings when deleting disabled steps in Visual Tests

    a. If someone tries to delete a live step that has child code (e.g. 'using' statements), SilkTest Workbench pops up a warning saying that deleting the step may affect the test.

    b. If the same step is disabled for testing and then the user tries to delete it while the step is disabled, Workbench does not warn them that there may have child code that will be affected by deleting this step.

    Regardless of why the step was disabled in the first place, if a warning is generated for situation (a) then a warning should also be generated for situation…

  11. Provide a Random function in Visual Test Expression Designer

    Please consider providing a Random function that would allow users to generate random values for common input fields such as Zip Code, Contact Number etc; within the Expression Designer when working with Visual Tests. Currently there is no means to accomplish this within Visual Tests; so the random values can only be created and consumed in .Net scripts, or sent back to a calling Visual Test as parameters.

  12. WOULD BE NICE: If pln files can call functions, that would be great especially since doing so results in 0 errors

  13. SilkTest Workbench: Enhance handling of multiple sheets within a single Active Data file in Visual Tests

    SilkTest Workbench needs to be able to handle active data files with multiple sheets better than it currently does. I would think that many users would like to create a single active data file with multiple sheets for data. Then be able to specify which sheet/value to use within expression designer and when typing data from an Active Data file into the application.
    1. The expression designer currently does not allow you to specify a sheet within an Active Data file.
    2. When you do a type keys and for the keys parameter specify Active Data there is also no…

  14. store more object attribute into the object repository

    If the object attribute has some minor change, no need to update the object repository or change the code.

  15. SilkTest Workbench: Enhanced Verifications from Screen Preview

    When Inserting a Verification from Screen Preview in Workbench Visual Tests; the text property of a textfield is not exposed in the Test Logic Designer, even when visible in the screen preview image.

    The workaround is to Insert the Verification from the Application under Test. However as it takes significantly longer to add verifications this way; I would like to see this behavior enhanced so that all properties are available for selection, when inseting verifications from Screen Preview.

  16. Silk4J: TrueLog Explorer does not hightlight imageClick() object

    When using the imageClick() method in a SilkTest/Silk4J 14.0 test; the generated Truelog Explorer file highlights the parent control(against which the method was executed), rather than the object that was actually clicked.

    It would be nice to see this behavior changed in a future release; so that the Truelog file shows the image/control was actually clicked, rather than its parent.

  17. Enhance SilkTest Workbench Visual Test steps so that you can define text for a Result Comment and/or Output in the Properties Pane

    It would be really cool if every step in Visual Test had the ability to define text in the Properties pane to be sent as a Result Comment and/or text to be sent to the Output (Console).

    For example if I have a Comment in my Visual Test that I want the same text in the comment to be written as a Result Comment and to the Output pane during playback I would like to click on the Comment in Visual Test and be able to define two properties:
    1. Result Comment Text
    2. Output Text

    This allows a single…

  18. Automatic Sorting in ObjectMap and in Item name

    Sorting in SilkTest ObjectMap:
    In SilkTest ObjectMap - Sorting happens automatically. For instance, changing the ‘DashboardTest’ name to ‘RDashboardTest’ - name has been changed and it has sorted automatically. User does not want this ObjectMap sorted automatically. It should stay in its current position and once Name is being clicked then ObjectMap should be sorted.

    Sorting in ObjectMap Item:
    Form ObjectMap Item Name - hit Edit and change the item name to ‘BAddedOrgAlertPageClientAcctNoDomElement’ - Item name is changed and sorted automatically. User does not want this ObjectMap Item Name sorted automatically. It should stay in its current position…

  19. Silk4Net: Allow use of Screen Coordinates in Locators

    Please consider supporting the use of Screen coordinates within Object Maps and Locator strings; as it would be useful in situations where controls have no unique properties to identify them. I would prefer to identify such controls based on their position on the window; rather than having to use an Index value.

  20. Improve documentation for Java

    Look at the documentation of http://documentation.microfocus.com/help/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.borland.silktest.workbench.doc%2Flangref%2FSAP%2FGetItemTextMethodSapTree_ref.html

    What is "We recommend using SAPTree.GetNodeText() instead of SAPTree.GetItemText(), because it is easier to use."
    Well it's maybe easier to use, but provides a totally different functionality.

    A better description for this would be

    /**

    * Gets the text of a specific row (identified by the node key) and column (identified by the column name).
    * @see de.kaba.framework.eacm.silk.ISilkTree#getColumnNames()
    * @see de.kaba.framework.eacm.silk.ISilkTree#getNodeKeys()
    * @param nodeKey Key of the node, e.g. from getNodeKeys()
    * @param itemName Column name, e.g. from getColumnNames()
    */

    This applies to many methods I have seen so far. The documentation is really…
