Improve IM web service
Currently integration with other life-cycle management tools to IM must be accomplished via Java API. It is typical in this day and age that issues must be reflected in other lifecycle tools such as those used in development during agile/scrum projects. At these stages it is critical that issues are tracked from both a development and test perspective. The current IM web service does not allow for querying current issues (bizarrely) although does allow you to get basic information for an issue. This doesnt include any custom fields; in short the current web service is woefully inadequate. I have a service that could interact with another life-cycle management tool through REST queries; but IM is so poor integration using this method is not likely. It seems to me to be more useful for external integrations to open this up as we could manage all our integrations to IM through one regularly running service. Note also, that the table for external integrations sits in the TM schema, is it not about time the two were merged?
