Ordering Automated Tests and Execution Plans
Currently there is the functionality to order Manual Tests, if we have an Execution Plan which has tests contained within it which other tests are dependant on, we need to make sure order is correct.
Ordering within an Execution Plan would enable us to do this.
It would be nice also to have the option to have execution plans run in a sequential manner, on dependencies so we can make sure each execution plan is in the correct order as well, rather than what one reaches the execution server first.
62 votesreview of dependencies and execution plan order will be performed to see what is possible

You should be able to select the number of items to be added to your dashboard
At the moment when you ad a new item to your dashboard it will refresh your dashboard and when working with multiple items on the dashboard (20+) and you need to add 5 this is time consuming. I spent ~30-40 min to add 5 items on dashboard one by one. I would prefer to select the number of items I want to add and have one dashboard refresh instead of 5

Possibility of recovering a deleted test case/container
Is there any way to recover a deleted test case/container? The only option seems to be recovering with database backup!
The recovery feature is available in requirements section and it would be really useful to have it in other sections of SCTM as well.
If recovery is not possible, can there be a recycle bin activated in Test section so the deleted test would be temporary moved there before a hard deletion takes place?43 votesWe have a item on our backlog which relates to deleted tests first moving to a ‘Obselete’ folder on first delete. This allows them to be reviewed prior to final delete. This is in line with how we handle requirement deletion.
We will add your feedback to out item on backlog.

Using paramaters are painful.
SCTM should support auto parsing params in the paper test and automatically passing them to the automation testcase.

LDAP Authentication and strong password policy
Our objective is to connect Silk Central test manager platform on our corporate LDAP Directory which is based on the product ‘sun directory server directory 6.3’ (known nowadays as Oracle Directory Server 11g).
The LDAP directory enhance the password policy which force password expiration every 90 days and blocks accounts after several failed attempts.SCTM v 13.0 doesn’t handle the error messages sent by the LDAP Directory when the password has expired or when the account is locked and therefore the user doesn’t get the reason why the authentication has failed ( “Vous avez entré un nom d'utilisateur ou un…

Share a Manual Test between multiple projects with predefined information such as Attributes, steps, Properties
As a Test Manager, I want to share a Manual Test between multiple projects with predefined information (Attributes, steps, Properties, data set, etc..) and search for them using filters. The shared tests should reside in a structure similar to Shared Steps.
This functionality is not currently in Silk Central - this capability is a major sticking point for our customer.SI #2682428

Manual Test Results should embed images on PDF export
I need the ability to generate test result docs that include the screen shots. I know it generates reports now, but the screen shots are not included (only a link).
When you choose to view manual test results, it displays the results and provides options to print the results or download as a PDF. The images don’t display, only clicking the hyperlink to them does.
When downloading as a PDF, the images should also display.

Update Issues Manager plug-ins
Update all external Issues Manager plug-ins to contain all the same fields that are contained in the Issues Manager form. Specifically, update the TFS plug-in with all fields contained on the Issues Manager issues form. Then we can update our TFS bug form to contain the same fields and can synch them to Issues Manager. Otherwise, external issues must be managed in two places - negating any benefit from the external integration.

Manage test result history indipendently from EP/ Test Cycle - #2583869
The deletion of an Execution Plan / Manual Test Cycle will produce the deletion of all the the test history result.
This condition is not acceptable, the test history is an asset of the test factory organization while the execution plan / test cycle is how you organize the work daily with your testers.
This condition is improved also by other conditions:
1. the number of test cycles will grow very quickly, due the fact that you have to recreate (correctly) new test Cyle for each new run (if you use the standard EP you can rerun the same EP). …21 votesWithin Silk central 13 onward you have the ability to delete result files from execution plans this can be done on a date range ect and can be left to leave the last result file. This can be done on a project level or individual execution plan level.
Silk Central 12.1 introduces capability to select which test cycles within the Manual Execution Plan are displayed. A new button enables selection for configuration. This enables flexibility for display and reduces volume of data.

Introduce a JIRA plugin that shows relevant information from SCTM
Much like the Atlassian Greenhopper integration fetches relevant information about requirements from JIRA and presents them in SCTM, it would be really useful to have a JIRA plugin that does the same thing but the other way around.
For an epic, story, or a defect, the plugin should present information about relevant tests for this epic/story/issue.The use case would be to allow for users of the issue tracker to view test related information in the context of the issue.
Information to be shown would be all relevant information about a test case/execution plan, test results, status etc.

Allow users to create custom risk and priority values
Remove default risk and priority requirement properties while the default lists of values of those ones don’t fit the customer needs. Creating custom risk and priority properties introduce confusion for users.
About this issue, our customer would like to be able to define their own list of values (different values and different number of values than the standard lists) for the standard requirement properties Risk and Priority in SCTM 12.0.
So they create custom requirement properties.
However, doing so, they get 2 priority and risk properties on SCTM UI in the requirement workspace, the standard properties and the newly created…17 votesCreating custom risk and priority properties is recomended approach as the default values in the core priority and risk fields are used within core silk central reporting.

Add custom fields for issue statuses in Silk to map to JIRA
Currently SilkCentral does not allow to add custom fields for issue statuses in Silk to map to JIRA. It has the basic 5 statuses (Open, Fixed, Verified, Closed, Deffered). It would be very helpful if SilkCentral allows to add such as “In Progress”, “Ready for deployment”, “Failed” etc.
17 voteson backlog item to add additional customer statuses for issues in Silk Central. No time scale planned yet

Allow custom mapping fields in SCTM - TFS issue tracking integration
The need is to customize the mapping of the current hardcoded mapping between SCTM and TFS in the ISSUE integration profile, like the field description, severity.

Add a new Column type 'Project Name' in Cross-Project Activities, helps managers to see which execution are running for which projects.
At the moment there is 'Project ID' as a column which can be displayed for Next/Current/Last Executions under 'Cross-Project Activities. But this doesn't mean anything for a Project manager / Test manager who manages multiple project. PM or TM have to go to the list of Project and then check what project it is that has executions running.
If we can display the Project Name for Next / Current / Last Executions tables it will be very helpful for any business person to see what projects are running executions. Thanks,

Add users directly to Projects rather than via Groups
We would like to allow certain users access to only certain projects in Silk Central. I know we can create Groups and allow members of that group access to only certain projects but we were wondering if there is a way to do this without the use of groups?
For example, it would be nice if there were a "Projects" drop-down list in the "Groups and Role Assignments" section of the User's Profile page. So that we could select specific projects for a specific user. The reason we would like to this is to avoid having to create dozens of…

Export tests to Excel - Option to decide whether or not the HTML tags should be exported
When tests are exported to Excel, the formatting data are also exported for future import. As is, the exported data are difficult to read and to manage within Excel. It is requested to be able to decide whether or not the formatting data (HTML tags) should be exported with the test data.
14 votesexport of tests to excel and excluding the HTML tags will be planned for implementation in 15.5

Select List (cascading) field from JIRA not supported
Support Incident: 2879672.
We want to link Silk Central with Jira Server. In our Jira projects we have custom fields, which are selecting list (e.g. to select an OS, first you select Windows then you get all the existing Windows environment). When we want to create a new issue from Silk to Jira, when we have to use the cascading fields, Silk always gives an error. We are then unable to create the issue as these fields are also mandatory fields.

Create versions for all tests from test container
Logged on Behalf of Johanna Bassil, when we want to version the test cases, we have to go through all the test cases and hit Create Version. It would be easier if we have this option on test folder or test container level to version all the test cases if need be.
11 votesAt a project level you are able to baseline the project and this will force a create version against a manual test assets within the project.
